PSSTV2.0: Reimagining the City through Low-Res Vision and Sound
PSSTV-2.0 is an exploration of the boundaries of photography, venturing beyond traditional methods to forge a new path in artistic expression. It arises from a central question: how can photography transcend its established norms and evolve into a more transformative experience?
As a modulated Photographic instrument, PSSTV-2.0 can take a picture and mass-transmit the photograph through the local radio wave. Local radio frequencies allow the project to tell its story to a wide range of audiences within a specific urban environment.
Expanding the localized focus to cities like Chicago, Seoul, and Boston, SSTV (Slow Scan Television) decodes the unique sonic frequencies of each city, revealing the algorithm's intricacies and adding layers of intrigue to the artistic encounter. Each city contributes its individual voice, transforming transmitted images into a fusion of SSTV style and urban individuality.
